They are more often concerned with getting the people any old job they can without regard for the role of management in those careers. Another trait that good managers have is the skill of motivating others. If they can get people to feel good about their careers and get them to do a good job, then they will likely make a great manager. If a person more suited to management is placed in a career that doesn't manage, they will most likely end up feeling very unfulfilled. If this happens, you have essentially done a bad job. You placed them in the wrong career.
